Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Programs in San Diego & California
Many students are unable to keep up with the demands of the 21st century and are struggling to do well. Stress, anxiety, overwhelm and bullying are problems students face and parents and teachers don’t always know how, or have enough time or the proper resources, to support students in the ways they really need it. Now, with the addition of COVID-19, stress is at an all time high.
When these challenges go unsolved, students develop lagging skills and start to fall behind socially and academically. They develop behaviors that are challenging for themselves and for others: they lose focus, grades slip, emotions build up beneath the surface, they get into trouble, they jeopardize their friendships, they don’t ask for help simply because they don’t have what they need to do well.
Our solution is to supply students, teachers and families with the knowledge and resources they need to improve their performance at school through lessons on social, emotional and executive functioning skills to empower well-being and help students reach their fullest potential.
Our Curriculum
Club Xcite’s Social Emotional Learning Program is designed to support students in having access to the social, emotional, behavioral and executive functioning skills and strategies they need to do well in school and in life. Through mindfulness based executive functioning and project-based learning, students will receive coaching sessions that focus on both awareness and application to ensure long-term success.
