Club Xcite provides a variety of education related mental health therapies to students of all ages who are struggling with school related social, emotional or behavioral issues. We have been supporting students and families in reaching their highest potential in San Diego County since 2004 through private and group services.
Club Xcite’s tutoring, coaching and therapy services have been specifically designed to compliment or enhance the supports that students are already receiving in school. Club Xcite is an approved NPA (Non Public Agency) and we contract with a variety of public, private and charter schools in San Diego to provide education related services to students through their IEP or through compensatory services.

Services for Students with an IEP or 504 Plan
Educational counseling in which the pupil is assisted in planning and implementing his or her immediate and long-range educational program.
Personal counseling in which the pupil is helped to develop his or her ability to function with social and personal responsibility.
Counseling and consultation with parents and staff members on learning problems and guidance programs for pupils

2) Behavior Intervention (BII Services)
Provide school based behavioral intervention services, including implementation of behavior intervention plans.
Provided by: Behavior Aides / RBTs

Consultative services to parents, pupils, teachers, and other school personnel.
Planning and implementing a program of psychological counseling for individuals with exceptional needs and parents.
Assisting in developing positive behavioral intervention strategies.

4) Parent Counseling and Training
Assisting parents in understanding the special needs of their child, and
Providing parents with information about child development.
Provided by: LMFT, LCSW, PPS, MFT Associate

Individual and group counseling with the individual and his or her immediate family.
Consultation with pupils, parents, teachers, and other personnel regarding the effects of family and other social factors on the learning and developmental requirements of individual pupils with exceptional needs.
Developing a network of community resources, making appropriate referral and maintaining liaison relationships among the school, the pupil with exceptional needs, the family, and the various agencies providing social, income maintenance, employment development, mental health, or other developmental services.

6) Instruction in the Home or Hospital
Special education and/or related instruction services for pupils with chronic illnesses or exceptional needs.

7) Academic and Executive Functioning Coaching / Classroom Aides
Teaching personalized executive functioning skills and strategies to maximize a students learning potential as they make their way through academic content. Coaches support students in building awareness around the metacognitive processes that underlie their struggle with lagging social, emotional or behavioral skills such as decision making, organization, flexible thinking, self-regulation, and frustration tolerance.

8) Social Skills Groups and Summer Camps
Providing Social skills and behavioral skills group therapy for students with mild social, emotional or behavioral challenges in various locations for ages 5-7, 8-13, and/or 14-18, and leading/ collaborating with other therapists and coaches within our groups’ 3:1 ratio.
Providing Summer Camps for children and teens who need social or behavior skill development.
