Learning Disability Tutoring, Coaching and Therapy in San Diego

Students who experiences a learning disability can be at risk for falling behind academically in school, hating school, loosing self esteem, motivation and confidence, and/or withdrawing socially. But with the right support focused on building skills in areas of weakness and promoting strengths, students can learn strategies to overcome their challenges and reach success.
Club Xcite’s tutors, coaches and therapists specialize in supporting students with learning challenges by helping them find out what their brain needs to succeed. Focusing on foundational skills, strategies and behaviors for success, we can empower any student to find what works for them, and then make it work for them.

Club Xcite provides three services to support students with learning disabilities:
1) Psychoeducational Assessments
We offer a variety of assessments provided by a licensed Educational Psychologist to diagnose education related disorders and identify students’ challenges and needs. (ADHD Assessment, Gifted and Talented Assessment, Executive Functioning Assessment, ERHMS Assessment, and Full Psychoeducational Assessments)
2) Academic Tutoring combined with Executive Functioning Coaching
Club Xcite academic tutors or our executive functioning coaches teach executive functioning skills and strategies to maximize a student’s learning potential as they make their way through academic content. Our coaches support students in building awareness around any lagging academic, social, emotional or behavioral skills such as decision making, organization, study skills, memory and recall, flexible thinking, self-regulation, and frustration tolerance. Services are available in-home or in-school all over San Diego.
3) Social, Emotional and Behavioral Therapy
Students with learning disabilities can have emotional and behavioral challenges in school or at home that can affect their social and family dynamics. Low self esteem, anxiety, depression, stress, lack of motivation and behavioral challenges are common for students who do not receive early intervention. Club Xcite provides 1on1 and group education related therapy options for children and their parents in-home, or in-school environments.
